This program is for coaches from high school to college level to learn about and experience their sports in the U.S. Through observation and personal interaction with American coaches, players, sports organizers, and administrators, international coaches have daily interactive activities with American counterparts. These activates include coaching, training/practicing, classes, competitions and administrative meetings in American high schools and colleges.
International coaches are placed with American host families that are carefully selected by ACES. Host families are from different socio-economic backgrounds and live in urban and rural areas. All have the desire to invite an international coach to become a member of their family for the duration of the program.
In addition, international coaches also have opportunities to interact with local sports clubs and organizations to learn about sports in the U.S. in general. Exact program activities and location are determined according to the international coach’s sport, interests, and availability.
