It is difficult to believe that our NSLI-Y Russia 2018 program has come to an end. Students took full advantage of their final week in Russia to visit many sights, including the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, the ballet Swan Lake, and the Kremlin Armory. On Thursday, students’ teachers surprised them with a Russian tea party–an important tradition in Russia–and then the students enjoyed dinner with their teachers. On Friday, after they finished their presentations, they enjoyed light refreshments with their teachers and language partners. After a final pre-departure meeting, students headed home to pack and prepare to head home. Below are highlights from this past week and from the program in general. I hope you have enjoyed following our activities this summer!

The camp staff set up a beautiful table for us and served salad, borscht, chicken, and potatoes, accompanied by Russian compote to drink.

After lunch, students sat outside and enjoyed activities and conversation.
